Hi everyone...I have been posting questions and reading everything in the forum for about a month now without ever really introducing myself. my apologies. I am just beginning to surface for air actually after total immersion in this new and absolutely addictive ELEMENTS 4!!!
I know there are many of you who have experienced the same thing.
I really bought this program just to see what all the fuss was about and planned to take a casual interest and incorporate it in my real activity which is painting. Well I don't have to tell you the rest!
I am hooked! and finding this forum and the subscriber area is what makes it so much fun. Thank you to everyone who has helped me so far. It is so interesting to think of us all spread across the globe and yet voices gradually take on individual personalities.
Well here's one more voice, coming to you from the Canadian mid west , and wishing to express my appreciation of this wonderful group......Meribee

Welcome Meribee. It always makes me smile when we get a new member and they actually plan on being a 'casual' user. Elements is just not that kind of a program........it sucks you in and takes over your life. :D And then there is this forum of wonderful people who quickly become your new friends.

I look forward to seeing your work and again.........welcome.
Try and stay away........I dare you.

merribee ...

You are doing really well with Elements ... that casual user bit has caught out most of us. I only got Elements so that I could restore a few photographs :D :D

I think there is another force working against us (like in X-Files), we just don't know what it is. It's nice to make new friends and do something that is really fun. Maybe I will get good at this too--who knows. I'm a real newbie too!

Hi Meribee
You are in the company of lots of Canadians here and some of us who were born there but now live elsewhere. Elements is pretty addictive that is for sure because there is so much to learn and when we discover "Wow I can do that" it makes us hungry for more. :)

I bought a wacom tablet so I could draw some comics and then post them online. It came with a Corel teaser program and I played around with it for a few weeks. Then, I loaded the 'other' program that came with my tablet; PSE3. While trying to learn to use it, I found this forum, and now, it's clear to me, this place is worth much more than what I paid for the tablet.
