Hi. I'm brand-new to this forum and I'm sorry I haven't first taken the time to introduce myself. I feel pretty comfortable with the basics of PSE - but now I'm trying to do something simple and can't figure it out! I need to put a navy blue font with a white outline on a photo. I can't figure out how to make the font be outlined in white. Can anyone help me?
Thanks!
Michele

One way is to select the fonts layer and right click on it and select simplify layer. Than hold down the control key on your computer while selecting the font layer and left click. This should make the little ants dance around your fonts. Go up to edit and click on stroke( outline selection) and choose the color and size of the outline. Click on it and it will outline your fonts.

Hi Michelle ...
... and welcome to the forum ...
You could also just create a new blank layer above the text
then Control>Click on the text layer in the layers palette
... and just do Edit>Stroke Selection
That way your stroke would be on its own layer ... so if you did need to change the text you would be able to (although if you did need to change it then you would have to redo the stroke layer)
