but I'll be darned I'm back here asking for help once again.:D

I'm trying to get through Wendy's photoalbum page in the Subscriber Tutorial section. I've finished Step 7, then merged the two layers, renamed it Spiral. Now I'm supposed to just keep duplicating this layer and moving it down into place..........yeah, right.
I tried duplicate layer, but I don't see anything happening, nor would I know where to move it to.........am I helpable???

:) Helpable :) Yes!

When you duplicate the layer, the copy is right on top of the previous one, so you won't actually be able to see it on your image. But click on the spiral and drag, and you'll see that you are moving the duplicate, and that the original one was hiding beneath it.

I hope that makes sense. I don't have the talent that some others here have of giving clear instructions.

Let us know if this doesn't work for you.

Hi Mary ...

Sounds like you are doing well with this tutorial .. do let us see it when you have finished.

This is one of my favourites :)

Wendy, this is by no means any reflection on your instructions.:D
I've just so much to learn yet, but it's a start.

I'm open to any and all suggestions for improvement, as long as you keep in mind I'm still really new at all this.

I still have to learn how to fix the glowing eyes on my dog, how to eliminate undesirable backgrounds, and the whole layers thing, but it's coming, slowly.

Here's my attempt.......please be kind......:p

Hi ...

Oh you have done well for a first try .... maybe just a tweak or two that you could experiment with. I sent you a pm about that :)

This really is one of the more difficult tutorials and its not an easy one to do when you are still new to Elements ... It covers some quite intricate selections and I do think that you have done well to complete it !! :)

Thanks to you and all the others who have bothered to take the time and lead me through these tutorials.
It truly is a wonderful learning experience, granted, sometimes a bit frustrating, but ohhhh, when something finally turns out halfway presentable........:D
