Hi all - I am taking my Girl Scout Troop to Disneyland tomorrow.14 girls - 3rd grade to 11th grade. We are flying to California and planning a fun time!! I hope for lots of photo opportunities.
When I get back on Thursday, I leave right away with my family for our visit to Bloomington, Minnesota. My father-in-law is celebrating his 84th birthday. I will check into the forum every now and then, but I will miss my "Elements" time!!!
Last night I went to the Diamondbacks/Mets baseball game and all I really wanted to do was go home and work on a photo gift for Dad. Is that a bad thing...

Anne,
have a great time.
Sounds to me that you're another of us who have become addicted to Elements.:D
Kev.
BTW - love the photo of your Daddy's grave.

Wow, you're a brave woman, taking a whole troop to Disney. You'll have plenty of photo opportunities. Enjoy boh of your trips, and we'll look forward to seeing your creations when you come back.
For when you get back, here's a font site for Disney fonts (free ones at the bottom). It is specifically for Disney World but you might find ones that work for Disneyland too:

Anne - have a great time at Disneyland. You'll have to do BuzzLightyear - at least two times - once to get the hang of it and the second to score the big score!.
Hopefully Fantasmic will be on when you are there (night fireworks/waterdisplay, boats around river of the Americas) - it has to be the best production on the whole property. We were there last Oct visiting our daughter who goes to college at Occidental in Eagle Rock. We went to the early fireworks (viewed from Main Street area) and then worked our way over to the Rivers of America area (frontier land) and got a great spot (ask one of the cast members for best place to stand and see it all - they give great insights).
Welcome to Minnesota on your second trip. I'm sure that a trip to the mall of america will probably be on your agenda if you can find some time. Minnesota is home to this old guy (born and raised in S. Dakota). We have lots of other great things besides the Mall tho.
Best wishes on your trips~

I have been to Disneyland numerous times- it is about a 7 hour drive from here so the school choir trip and church youth group trips were always to Southern CAlifornia and I always have had a wonderful time. I have not been lately since my daughter is sort of "grown up" now but I'm as excited as a kid. It is such fun!!
I am really looking forward to taking the girls in my troop. They are very underprivileged and have hardly ever been anywhere. None but 2 have ever been there and most have never been on a plane. Many have never even stayed in a hotel. It is such a treat to see the world through the eyes of kids seeing it for the first time!!
Thanks for the well-wishes - I just wish I could bring my computer...ah well....
