Dumb Question about the Gallery

Thought I'd start a gallery even though I don't have much to put in at this moment :rolleyes:
It asks you for your name, password etc... Do I use the same one as the fourm here, or or the subscriber area, or make up a new one ?

I know, I know dumb question - but just wanted to check before I mess it all up :o

It is separate from the forum, but there's no reason you can't make them the same. Right now, there's no way to change your gallery password. Once it's set, it's set.

Okay - Thanks. Just checking.
I belong to another forum that has a gallery (old cars,) on that site your forum user name and password automatically gets you in... I'm still new here, and bit confused about having to log into the different areas separately.
But then, I'm kind of old and easily confused... :D

Mark, the more you use the forum, the easier it gets. I know I was very confused when I first joined and just as I was getting used to the way things worked, the forum layout was changed and I had to start all over again :eek:

I already set up my gallery and wanted to change the label to something other than a link to it. Wendy very kindly explained how to set up the gallery. My question is: If I need to name an already existing gallery link, do I still follow Wendy's instructions?

Why am I always confused???:confused:

Hi Andie ...

Yes just follow the instructions ... I'll put them in here again as a few new people have now set up Galleries so they may be helpful to them as well:

Click on User CP at the top of the page then on Edit Signature and copy and paste this into it:

[333url=http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/gallery/viewgallery.php?user=xxxx] My Gallery[/url]

Where it says My Gallery type in what you want to show in your signature.

Now remove the 333 and where it says xxxx type in your user number. Make sure that you don't add any extra spaces ..

To find your user number ... click on Access my Gallery then click on "Share my Gallery" and you see the user number there.
