Canon 30D users

I am wondering what people are seeing and finding with the new Canon 30D? I am considering the 30D and possibly the Nikon D200.
What is your sense of $$ for lenses for each, which is more expensive for the lenses Pro vs Pro lenses. I want IS lenses zoom maybe a 70-300 and a 28-70 and a Macro lens.
Thoughts? I know that the Nikon has more MB but not sure how much that will effect what I am doing but how about quality of the picture as it comes out of the camera, how about the durability of camera and the different technologies used in the way the pictures are taken?

I can't speak to those two cameras, but you might want to read this article on the "megapixel myth" to understand the MP issue better. It's all about what size prints you want - that and a lot of marketing hype.

I purchased the 30D since I already have two Canon lenses that I'm very happy with, the 70-200mm L IS f2.8 and the 24-70mm L f2.8. The image stabilization (IS) of the 70-200 lenses really does work! I'm not a pro by any stretch of the imagination as photography is strictly one of my hobbies. I mainly take pictures of family, friends, sporting events and landscapes.
