Here is a slightly different version of Matt's tut using letters instead of shapes. You do it exactly the same except your initial layers are the letters. Very fun. Ok - let's see yours!
(This is what I was thinking for Cinderella's castle Kay - photo with Disney or something like that across the front) Here is a link to some really great free Disney fonts:

Nancy,
What a cool idea! Here's my offering of two of my kids flying a kite at the beach.

Thanks Wendy....
I've also got a few other ideas up my sleeve, but I'll have to put them on hold for a week as we're going away.
I've now done the tutorial three times now and by the third time I could do it without constantly looking at the video:)

Wendy,
We're off to Jerusalem. I have two sons & a daughter-in-law there, and a wedding to attend. It's been nearly four years since we went away together without any of the younger end of the family accompanying us. I'm hoping I'll get some opportunities for some good photos....if nothing else some blue skies to replace all the dingy, hazy white ones on last years holiday pictures!

Hi Bayla ...
I have been to Jerusalem several times ... its is just so beautiful. I was so busy looking at things that I almost forgot to take any photographs ... hope that the wedding goes well and do let us see some photographs when you get back :)
I am sure that you will get those beautiful blue skies ... and lots of photographs.

Wendy,
Thanks. I haven't been there for nearly 26 years. We got engaged in Jerusalem, so I have wonderful memories and I'm so excited to be going back after all this time, as well as visiting our children. No grandchildren there yet.....so I won't be taking my usual portraits, I guess it'll be more scenery snaps.

Hi Bayla ...
Oh that is just so nice ... and how special to be going back for the first time.
I think that the first time I visitied was about 1979 and each time we have been back I have tried to visit a new place. Its about 5 years since we were last there and I would so like to go again ...

Bayla,
That is wonderful! It works very well with that image. Hey - enjoy your trip to Jerusalem. I would love to see it someday - but probably never will. Be sure to take lots of pictures to show us.
Wendy - now I can't wait to see your idea.:)

Nancy - that is just great. Are those letters done freehand? I haven't looked at the tutorial but with all I am seeing in these threads I am looking forward to trying.
Bayla have a wonderful holiday- really just enjoy the time away and your family and get back to us safely.

Thank you! No - they are actually from the free Disney fonts in that link I posted. I'm pretty sure it was the Pooh font - I would have to go back and double-check. After I used the letters to "lift" the image from the background I added a drop shadow to make them stand out a little more.
