Whenever I open a new picture, the color is a little greener than it should be. If I view the file outside of Photoshop, it looks fine, if I copy the file into a new window in Photoshop, the color returns to normal. (The one I copied looks the same as opening the file outside of Photoshop)
Below you will see to opened windows, the one on the right is the original file, and the one on the left is the copied file. I did nothing but select the picture on the right using the "Rectangular Marquee Tool (M)", then Ctrl-C, Ctrl-N, Enter, Ctrl-V.

Hi there ...
... and welcome to the forum :)
Elements is probably the only colour managed program on your computer so that can account for colour changes ... take a look at both files and see if the have a colour profile attached.
To do that just do File>Save As ... down at the bottom of the window that comes up you will see Embedded Colour profile. What do they both say? (Just do Cancel when you have made a note of them)
I suspect thay they are different ... and it maybe that your monitor isn't correctly calibrated ... that can cause the problem ..
Just check the two and let us know :)

Yes, it does have a color profile. But it didn't used to, so why now?

Solved! Here is the info from a different forum:
Right click on your desktop, go to properties then settings then advanced.
Once that opens up... go to color mangement then make sure u have a color profile listed... it SHOULD be sRGB (and set it as default) if there are none there, hit add... select sRGB and then click ok and set it as ur default.
(Don't expect me to respond to any posts, I just thought I should post the answer here since I asked the question.)
