Howdy,

This shot of Vewrmillion Lake in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada is one of my favorites. For some reason, I thought it would be a little more interesting if I added a Grizzly Bear.

The bear was taken at the Calgary Zoo near the park.

Scenic was taken with a Pentax 6X4.5 medium format camera, 40 mm wide angle lens, Polarizer filter, F8 at 1/125 Sec. Velvia rated 40 ASA/ISO.

Bear - shot with a 35mm Nikon 8008, F2.8 400mm Tokina APO lens through glass. So the bear may appear a little soft. Velvia rated at 40 ASA/ISO.

Coverted to digital using my favorite technique since I can't afford the higher end scanners.

Beautiful landscape photo roadrunner. My eyes were so taken away by the beauty of the scenery that it almost missed the bear :D ;) I like the way you blended it in though......great job!! :)

Yeah, I had the same problem as Mel- I was expecting a huge bear standing out in the picture, but he's well blended in there. Nice overall image!

We are leaving next week for a five-week road trip that will include much time in US Grizzly country (Glacier NP, Yellowstone) and I REALLY REALLY hope that I never look through a viewfinder and see this guy!!!

Nice job!! And much safer than bear-hunting on your own! :D
