System crashes using Elements.

I recently upgraded from photo elements 3 to 4 and I'm having trouble. Several times now Elements has crashed on me. Usually when using some of the new selection tools. Last night I tried to use the magic selection brush, I had 1 other photo in the editor besides the one I was working on and it crashed and rebooted my system. I'm running with Windows XP. Never had these problems with Elements 3? Is there a place to go for fixes? I have plenty of memory, upgraded before installing 4 when I really started to use 3. Never had problems with 3.

There are two things you can try:
Reset preferences-When Elements goes funky, this is usually the first thing to try. Open Editor and hold down Cntl+Shift+Alt to reset the preferences. If you don't get the pop up box, close Editor and try again.

There are also previous threads about a wierd setting with the keyboard. I don't know if this is the problem on not. Look at this link and it will give you steps to check if your keyboard is set to Welch for some reason
